Packing for Iceland (pt 1)

I live in Houston, TX. For the majority of the year I wear open toe sandals and dresses that end above the knee. So when I booked a trip to Iceland in February, I was at a loss for how to pack. First, I didn’t want to buy a new winter wardrobe for a 5 day trip. Second, I didn’t want to freeze my ass off. I will update on how this all worked out for me (aka: did I freeze my ass off) in a separate post. Here is what I’m bringing:

A. One thermal shirt and one thermal pair of leggings which I purchased for pretty cheap at Academy. I will wash these in the sink if they get funky. Don’t judge me!

B. Seven sweaters. Literally all the sweaters I own. Half of them have 3/4 length sleeves. Should be interesting.

C. Four pairs of leggings and 2 sweater dresses.

D. I have to admit I’m a little annoyed about this: I bought boots. I will never be able to wear them again. However, $90 boots beat a broken hip from falling on snow covered streets. Maybe you want to buy them from me when I return (hint, hint)?

E. I also bought 2 pairs of knee socks. I already had 2 pairs of knee socks so that makes 4 pairs total. I packed regular length socks as well, just in case.

F. Coat, hat, scarf, gloves. Because duh.

Stay tuned for more Iceland information!
